Jupta Itoewaki is the Chairperson of the Mulokot Foundation. She is a fearless women, fighting for the rights and development needs of her people. In 2018 she was an United Nation OHCHR Indigenous Fellow in Geneve. Jupta also is a Nia tero Fellow and attended the Transformative Leadership Program at the Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values at MIT.
Jupta is a fighter for Human rights and specialized in indigenous rights. Her slogan "Nothing about us, without us", is her trademark.
Tex is the Treasurer of the Mulokot Foundation. Tex is always very active in our communities. He organizes sport and entertainment activities especially for the children and the youngsters. Tex works as a Community Developer for Guiana Amaziona Park and is also a member of a Wayana Youth Foundation [Association Akenaituna] in French Guyana.
Esajasi is the Secretary of the Mulokot Foundation. Esajasi is a passionate person with a strong opinion and has great ideas. He is the airstrip station manager of Kawemhakan.
He is the nephew of the Chief and makes traditional Wayana art.
Melissa is a member of the Mulokot Foundation. She is the wife of the Paramount Chief Ipomadi Pelenapin and the strong woman behind him. So always knows how to get things done. She graduated as the "best student" of the school in Kawemhakan (the school was closed due to the civil war at the beginning of the '90s and never reopened).
Rani is also a member of the Mulokot Foundation. She has a strong opinion. She is open to change but she needs to be convinced that it is for the benefit of the village and its people. She lived in the capital of Paramaribo for a couple of years, where she attended primary school. But now she is happy to live in Kawemhakan, where she feels at home. She is the assistant station manager of the airstrip.
